The two-day event, attended by a diverse group of stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first day consisted of a joint working table, where participants discussed key issues impacting SFSC in the FJDV&#8217;s area of influence. The conversation primarily revolved around two significant collective catering initiatives: the bio-school canteens of the Biosphere Reserve, supported by the LAG Mari\u00f1as-Betanzos, and the staff canteen of the INDITEX (ZARA) headquarters, which serves 5000 meals daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The joint round table was attended by Sen\u00e9n Barral and&nbsp; Pablo G\u00f3mez from the innovation area of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inditex.com\/itxcomweb\/es\/home\">Inditex<\/a>, Alejando Wonenburguer and Natalia Valle from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pod.coop\/\">Plan on demand<\/a> , Beatriz Ferreira from A Caracola Nursery school , Daniel Lois from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sodexo.es\/\">Sodexo<\/a>, Jon Garai from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoalde.org\/es\">Ekoalde<\/a>, Jorge Blanco from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinasbetanzos.gal\/\">Asociaci\u00f3n Mari\u00f1as-Betanzos<\/a> (Local action group), Margarita Hern\u00e1ndez from&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecocomedoresdecanarias.com\/\">Instituto Canario de Calidad Alimentaria<\/a> (school canteens in Canary Islands), Miguel Riog from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osbiosbardos.com\/es\/\">cooperativa Os Biosbardos<\/a>, Pedro Lloret from<a href=\"https:\/\/cerai.org\/\"> Cerai<\/a>, Eduardo Sanjurjo from <a href=\"https:\/\/kibus.online\/coruna-elvina\">Kibus on-line<\/a>,&nbsp;&nbsp; Alejandro Martin and Patxi Hurtado from <a href=\"https:\/\/senvalos.org\/\">ONGD SenValos<\/a> and Jos\u00e9 Manuel Andrade , Alfonso Ribas, Beatriz Su\u00e1rez and Elena L\u00f3pez from Fundaci\u00f3n Juana de Vega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the second day of the Event, the Foodimprov\u2019inders project results were presented by Elena L\u00f3pez, a manager responsible for the project in Spain. Additionally, a series of presentations and two round tables on specific topics of high interest in the field of the project were also included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation of the project was followed by a presentation by <a>Eva Torremocha <\/a><a href=\"#_msocom_1\">[ML1]<\/a>&nbsp;from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondationcarasso.org\/es\/\">Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation<\/a>. This foundation is based in France and Spain and works to promote food sustainability&nbsp; in all its dimensions through the financing and support of projects, the generation of networks and spaces for exchange, as well as the systematisation and dissemination of learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two round table debates focused respectively on the organisation of food production and the new forms of logistics and distribution that can facilitate a leap in scale in these territorial food systems and on collective catering as one of the drivers with the greatest impact in promoting the consumption of organic and local products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day was completed with presentations by Pedro Loret from CERAI, research and territorial dynamisation technician from the Centre for Rural Studies and International Agriculture of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, which in recent years have carried out technical assistance for the implementation of the Consell Alimentari de Val\u00e8ncia, the Val\u00e8ncia 2025 Agri-food Strategy and coordinated the Horta-Cuina Programme. They are also members of the GIASAT working group (Integrated Agroecological Management of Territorialised Food Systems) which in 2021 developed the project &#8220;Ecosystem of Tools for Sustainable Food Hubs&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of event, special attention was paid to digital tools for boosting competitiveness in SFSC. <a>Plan on Demand<\/a><a href=\"#_msocom_2\">[ML2]<\/a>&nbsp;, an e-commerce and management platform for local producers, food-hubs and cooperatives, was presented.
